WHO WE ARE
We are an investment platform through which its members can access the resources needed to start/acquire and operate their own businesses.
In this way, the EIC seeks to bring about greater ownership and control of engineering and manufacturing firms by Black engineering professionals, and support the development of Black industrialists.

OUR SERVICES
COMPANY ACTIVITIES
The company is an investment company, its activities are:
To provide support, financially and otherwise, to qualifying members in order to enable them to start and operate their own businesses provided that the investment committee shall assess the commerciality of any business venture and such ventures shall be approved by the Board.
To support and enable qualifying members to acquire and operate businesses, as the Investment Com- mittee may determine, subject to the approval of the Board; provided that the qualifying members and the company collectively shall have control of the business.
To develop and grow Black engineering professionals to be Black Industrialists as defined in the Black industrialists’ policy and guidelines of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), or any Black industrialists programme(s) of the Republic of South Africa.

OUR OBJECTIVES
To enable members to access the resources required to start or acquire an existing business, subject to commercial assessment by the investment committee and the approval of the Board.
To develop and grow Black engineering professionals to be Black Industrialists as defined in the black Industrialists’ policy and guidelines of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
To facilitate investment opportunities for members.
To normalise business ownership by Black engineering professionals.
To serve as a matchmaker for those seeking to partner with Black engineering professionals who are business owners.
To raise funds towards establishing a sustainable business forum.
